So it has been almost a year since I last blah-blahed about my life. I figured that some important and interesting stuff is coming up, so I'll write about it!
First off, after 10 super long years of going to college, I AM FINALLY GRADUATING!! And barring any swine flu pandemics or natural disasters, I will be enjoying it with my family, as many members as I can finagle to come out for the big event. It is going to be AWESOME!!! Right now I am suffering from a serious case of Senioritis, and with just 2 weeks of school left, I need to pull it together!
There have been 2 major achievements to date that I feel are worthy of capturing on blog. One is my acceptance into the bilingual credential program at SDSU. Besides seriously increasing my chances of finding a job when I finish the program next year, being able to speak Spanish has been a dream of mine and although it has been super tough it will enable me to communicate effectively with my English and Spanish speaking students and their parents.
Man, I just typed a whole bunch of stuff about my Honors project and it got deleted. I'm not in the mood right now to do it all over again. So just know that it went well and I am so glad to have completed it!
On another note, I thought I would do a brief rundown of my family's summer plans. Then we can see what actually occurs over the next few months:
*Week of May 24: Graduation!!!
*All Summer: My sister will be staying with us!
*June 3-6: Yosemite! Finally staying at Upper Pines campground in the valley
*June 12: Kids' last day of school, Jacob moves on to Middle School (yikes!)
*June 21-25: Jacob goes to preteen Church camp
*June 26-July 3: Roadtrip to AZ and NM (I get to eat at my fave restaurant, La Posta)
*July 5-11: Boy Scout camp, George & Jacob attending
*July-August: working throughout the summer at the Standley rec ctr camp
*August 31: Credential program begins - summer is over :0(
