I haven't blogged in a looooong time, but I wanted to let everyone know something really important. It is this: traveling is fun. Traveling is amazing. Traveling will change your life. In other words, start saving those pennies, nickels, dimes and whatever you have. Maybe you won't go for a year, or ten years, but make it happen. This world is a big place (duh). People are diverse but fundamentally we all have the same desires - peace, love, happiness. Seeing the beauty of the world God has given us, making connections with far-off places, is an experience like no other. I highly recommend Paris for the walking, sights, and food, and England for the plethora of quiet trails and green lush countryside.
I think about my trip every day. I especially loved the time I spent with my Mom. We gasped together upon viewing the Eiffel tower for the first time. We clutched each other's hands as we zipped out of the Chunnel and onto French soil. We laughed a lot, we beat up a drunk guy together (verbally anyway, and actually mom did most of the beating), we shopped, we said "bonjour Madame" a lot, we ate crepes and pain au chocolat, we enjoyed a kir (or two) and zipped through the Louvre in record time. I could go on for pages and pages with all the amazing memories. I encourage, insist, and demand that you go and make some memories of your own. Make a plan and go for it. Pick a place and dream about it. Book that flight and hop on it!!
Angela's next destination dream is Ireland... with her family. Perhaps in 2010. She's saving and planning...

I wish we could go back to Europe right now. Money is such a limiting factor in life, isn't it? What an awesome time we had, sigh.......
That drunk guy was certainly a surprise. I wonder what his story was, anyway. He seemed pretty stunned by his reception.
Wasn't that guy at the crepe place so kind? What a great memory to think about that place. Rue Cler when all the shops are open must be really something.
We simply must see the Trianon and Petit Trianon. And of course, Howard's End.
And Ireland. And England (hurrah for Oxford!), and all of France.
I don't want much, do I?
